Introducing the B-Virtual Distributed Storage SystemThe B-Virtual Distributed Storage System (DSS) eliminates the complexity of storing large volumes of data redundantly across a large number storage nodes. Applications store data in the Distributed Storage System through a series of DSS Clients which offer standard block, file and object interfaces. As data is stored, the DSS client automatically distributes the data across a selection of storage nodes, such that the required storage availability policy can be met. DSS guaranties data availability at all times by automatically re-generating and re-balancing data across the available storage nodes as the storage system evolves.
