Block Volume ClientThe DSS Block Volume Client with integrated caching technology exposes a block devices to host operating systems or a hypervisor. These block devices can be formatted and used as if they were locally attached disks. The DSS Block Volume Client caches most frequently accessed data blocks locally on the host using a combination of solid state and hard disk drives, providing the necessary I/O performance for primary data operation. In parallel, the client stores all data blocks on the distributed storage system, which guarantees data availability and scalability.
